A man who tried to burn down a Dublin pub after a row with a manager has been given a three-year suspended sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Two people normally lived over the Smithfield Tavern, North King Street, but were not present on the night of December 13th, 1995, when Francie Duffy tried to set the pub on fire.
Judge Kieran O'Connor said he accepted Duffy (30), single, of North King Street, did not intend to injure anyone. He ordered him to carry out 240 hours of community service
