'Suspicious' death of NI infant investigated

Detectives in the North were today investigating the suspicious death of a baby it has emerged.

Detectives in the North were today investigating the suspicious death of a baby it has emerged.

It is understood that police are treating the death of the infant in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh on Thursday a domestic-type incident.

They refused to reveal either the baby's exact age or whether it was a boy or girl. But a spokesman said: "We can confirm the death is being treated as suspicious."
