Australian Open title in fine form after beating long-time rival Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the final of the Kooyong Classic exhibition event today.

Agassi, seeded sixth for the first grand slam of the year starting in Melbourne on Monday, won 6-3 3-6 6-3 in one hour, 17 minutes.

Martina Hingis beat Lindsay Davenport 6-3 4-6 7-5 today to win the Sydney international for the second time and boost morale going into next week's Australian Open.

Lleyton Hewitt also showed why he is one of the big contenders for the Open when he beat Magnus Norman 6-4 6-1 to become the first man since Pete Sampras in 1993-94 to win back-to-back titles in Sydney.
