Police are hunting thieves who broke into the home of Wayne Rooney's parents and stole valuable football memorabilia belonging to the England star.
The burglars struck at the luxury house in West Derby, Liverpool, at some time between 5pm and 11.20pm on Saturday.
They forced a rear upstairs window and searched the property before stealing jewellery and mementoes of the Manchester United striker's career.
The haul included a World Cup 2006 shirt, a Cup Final shirt, a number of England caps and the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2004 trophy.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "There are a number of distinctive items of footballing memorabilia that have been stolen from the house.
"I would ask members of the public to be on the lookout in case they are offered such items for sale, either on the street or in pubs or see the items for sale on the internet."
