Two drivers were killed and a passenger seriously injured when their cars collided in Co Tipperary, gardaí said today.
The victims, a 65-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, died instantly in the crash at Lackamore, Newport, at around 7 p.m. last night.
A passenger who was seriously injured in the crash was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.
In a separate incident, a 35-year-old pedestrian was killed this morning in an accident in Ballincollig, Co Cork.
He was later pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.
