Three women have been taken to hospital following an attempted raid on a post office in Foxrock, Co Dublin.
While a female employee was locking up the post office for lunch, two men approached her and sprayed her with pepper spray.
Two women, who witnessed the incident, came to her aid and also suffered the effects of the spray. All three are now being treated in hospital.
Gardaí say the men escaped empty handed in a navy Volvo car.
