MR Charles Haughey has been written to by the Dunnes payments tribunal and told he is entitled to legal representation, it emerged yesterday.

Counsel for the tribunal, Mr Denis McCullough SC, said Mr Haughey had been written to on March 27th and again on April and told he would be entitled to representation if he sought it. He has not sought it, he added.

Mr McCullough referred to the letters yesterday at the conclusion of evidence by Mr Ben Dunne.
