Two charged over fatal Limerick crash

Two men charged in connection with a fatal crash which claimed the life of a Limerick woman have been sent forward for trial.

Two men charged in connection with a fatal crash which claimed the life of a Limerick woman have been sent forward for trial.

The book of evidence in the case was yesterday served at Limerick District Court.

Roman Andreas (21), a Latvian national with an address at Dromore, Rhebogue, Limerick, is charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Emma Woodland (19) on September 9th last on the Ballysimon Road, Limerick.

A co-accused, Gearóid Cleary (26), Ballinacurra Gardens, Limerick, is also charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Ms Woodland on September 9th.

Both he and Mr Andreas were returned for trial to the next sitting of Limerick Circuit Court.

Mr Cleary was remanded on continuing bail, while Mr Andreas was remanded in continued custody.
