Two men charged in connection with the murder of Belfast man Robert McCartney and the attempted murder of Brendan Devine appeared in a Belfast court by video link today.
Both men were remanded in custody and the PSNI indicated it would seek to reinterview James McCormick (36) when he appears before Belfast Magistrates' Court next Friday.
Mr McCormick is on remand charged with the attempted murder of Brendan Devine who was injured on the night Mr McCartney was stabbed to death on January 30th.
Belfast Magistrates' Court was told of the application to be made to further interview Mr McCormick, of Victoria Road, Stetchford, Birmingham, when he and murder-accused Terence Davison (49) appeared by video link from Maghaberry Prison today to be further remanded.
Mr Davison, of Stanfield Place in the Markets area of Belfast, was remanded in custody for four weeks until July 29th during his 30-second appearance.
Mr McCormick was remanded in custody until July 8th when he will appear in court in person.
Yesterday, both accused made applications in the Northern Ireland High Court to be released on bail. The applications were adjourned until a date would be fixed.
