Two young men have been killed in separate road crashes in Northern Ireland, bringing to 16 the number of people who have died on its roads this year.

An 18-year-old died after he lost control of the car he was driving along the Aughrim Road in Magherafelt, Co Derry at 1 a.m.

And in east Belfast a 20-year-old man was killed in a crash on the Belmont Road last night.
