Up to 25 people could be buried under the rubble of a Moscow apartment block destroyed by an explosion tonight, the Emergencies Ministry said.
There were no official reports so far of any deaths but Interfax news agency quoted the fire services as saying at least one body had been recovered.
"According to preliminary information, there could be, and it's only could be, up to 25 people buried," Marina Ryklina, the ministry's chief spokeswoman said.
