ISMAILIA - U.S. Defence Secretary Mr William Perry said yesterday the United States would not rule out military action to stop Libya producing chemical weapons at a new underground site.

Mr Perry said he had showed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak hard evidence of a Libyan programme to develop chemical weapons and said the U.S. would not allow any chemical plant to open.
