Racing: George Washington is not certain to take his place in the line-up for Saturday's Coral-Eclipse.
Aidan O'Brien's mercurial talent reappeared with an encouraging fourth in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, after enduring an unsuccessful first season at stud.
He had been due to take on Authorized in a fascinating renewal of Sandown's 10-furlong Group One showpiece this weekend, but the current wet spell has put the clash in doubt.
And while nothing has been conclusively decided just yet, O'Brien says the Ballydoyle team will be monitoring the situation very closely.
"George Washington and Duke Of Marmalade are not certain to run in the Eclipse on Saturday," he confirmed.
"We're going to watch the weather forecast carefully in the Sandown area over the next few days."
