The IDA has been strongly criticised over proposals to site a waste transfer/recycling depot on an industrial park at Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon.
A local Concerned Citizens Group wants decent jobs not a waste depot which, it says, would provide little employment and would potentially be a health and environmental hazard.
A Bord Pleanala oral hearing project will take place in the next few weeks.
Members of the citizens group have met IDA chief executive Mr Kieran McGowan and senior officials of the authority in Dublin to express their concerns on the issue.
