Motor Sport: Mark Webber recovered from his practice shunt on Friday to set the fastest lap time ahead of Sunday's Turkish Grand Prix.
The 31-year-old Australian crashed into a barrier at the Istanbul Park circuit in the second session, wrecking the front of his Red Bull car.
Webber's rear-right tyre caught damp astroturf on the outside of turn six, which was enough to send him into a pirouette across the track before ploughing nose first into the barrier.
Other than a stiff neck, Webber walked away unharmed, although the 90-minute afternoon period was red flagged and halted for a short amount of time as marshals removed his car and cleared debris.
Following overnight repairs, Webber clocked a lap of one minute 27.030secs in final practice, shaving 0.3secs off the previous best time posted by Ferrari's Felipe Massa on Friday morning.
Renault's Fernando Alonso and Webber's Red Bull Racing team-mate David Coulthard also dipped under Massa's hot lap, although fuel loads will have undoubtedly played a part.
Conditions, though, were again far from ideal as the session was run under cloudy skies, and initially on a drying track following a heavy downpour an hour beforehand.
It is all in stark contrast to nine months ago when the race was last run in searing August heat, but with the FIA tinkering with the calendar, it has led to a dramatic change.
Nico Rosberg set his best lap of the weekend to date, finishing 0.335secs behind Webber, followed by Massa who was exactly half a second down as he chases a hat-trick of successive wins on this track.
Lewis Hamilton was seventh quickest overall, with Jenson Button ninth in his Honda, and reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen 11th in his Ferrari, just over 0.8secs off the pace.
With no Super Aguris on show following their financial collapse earlier this week, Force India's Adrian Sutil again brought up the rear.
