Rugby:Connacht coach Eric Elwood has strengthened his options at scrum-half with the addition of the former Ulster and Leinster number nine Cillian Willis to his playing staff.
Willis, who failed to nail down a first team place at Ravenhill making just 15 appearances for the province, has signed a one-year deal with Elwood’s side.
With Frank Murphy and Conor O’Loughlin already on the books, Elwood can expect some healthy competition for the scum-half jersey when the new season gets underway at the start of September.
Connacht’s opening game of the Magners League campaign is against Newport Gwent Dragons at the Sportsground.
