Further details of the line-up for the two-day Witnness festival, due to take place in July, were announced today.
Prodigy, Oasis, Primal Scream, Foo Fighters, Chemical Brothersand Green Daywill be appearing alongside US comedienne Sandra Bernhardand many more bands.
The festival will feature 80 acts playing on five stages on July 13th and 14th at Fairyhouse Racecourse.
A truly international gathering of artists will come together at the festival. US notables include the legendary Sonic Youth, Buffalo-based Mercury Revand Black Rebel Motorcycle Clubfrom San Francisco. Portland's The Dandy Warholswill be providing Bohemian rock and roll.
Britian will be represented by NME's best solo artist of the year Ian Brown, Gomez, trip-hop solo artist Tricky, more trip-hop from UK treasure Morcheeba. Starsailor, The Bluetones, Groove Armadawho have collaborated with Madonna, and Electric Soft Paradewill be appearing.
Undisputed UK soul diva, Beverley Knight, will be in attendance while electronic skatepunk from Kosheenwill provide a completely different music experience. Big-beat house sounds will be delivered by Deee-Lite and Lady Miss Kier.
Acclaimed Swedish five-piece, The Hives, will be appearing. Corneliuswill mix Japanese hip-hop with spoken word, along with Montreal dance sounds from Tiga.
There will be Irish contributions from Damien Rice, hot on the release of his debut album 'O'. Five-piece Dublin teenagers Melatonwho have recently signed with Sony, and Maria Doyle Kennedy, also appear.
