Harare - The editor-in-chief of Zimbabwe's sole private daily newspaper and its former chief executive who were arrested on fraud charges were freed from jail yesterday on conditional bail by a magistrate's court.

Mr Geoff Nyarota of the Daily News and the former head of the paper's parent company, Mr Wilf Mbanga, face fraud charges related to the way their newspaper was set up in 1998.
