The Quidnunc column in last Saturday's Weekend supplement quoted Mr Martin Cullen as saying that Ireland would host the "Para Olympics" in 2003. The reference should have been to the Special Olympics in Dublin in 2003. The Paralympics take place next month in Sydney.
In some early editions on Monday, a report said Ms Erin Breeze was the first recipient of a George Mitchell scholarship. In fact, 15 scholarships have been awarded since its inauguration in 1998. Ms Breeze is the first recipient to study at the University of Limerick.
