Sir, – Fintan O’Toole seems to be in a state of permanent paralysis at the grieving stage of Brexit (Opinion & Analysis, September 10th). To say that “Britain is becoming ungovernable” is sensationalism.
I can only infer from his fixation with the Conservative party that Britain will be “governable” when a Labour government is elected. Its party leader, Sir Keir Starmer, has committed Labour to Brexit for the foreseeable future. – Yours, etc,
