Sir, – Anne Marie Kennedy (Letters, September 22nd) wonders why King Charles III does not ask his barber to cut his “ear-to-ear band of neck hair”.

The reason might be that, like monarchs of old, he is nervous at the thought of any sharp blade approaching the back of his head. – Yours, etc,
