Sir, – Your editorial tells us that bank bosses must be held to account. If we are going to follow past punishments given to reckless bank bosses, they will only go on to be rewarded by outside appointments to more lucrative positions. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – A spokesperson for the Irish Banking Culture Board (IBCB) acknowledged recently that efforts being made to improve banking culture were yet to resonate with the public.
This is most unfortunate.
I suggest in response that we the public must do more to change our attitude so the IBCB can happily fold its tent and disappear back down the fantasy rabbit hole this bizarre quango popped out of. – Yours, etc,
