Sir, – I fully support Mark Fox’s stance on a deposit return scheme promoting greater use of civic amenity recycling centres, through providing a financial incentive to do so (Letters, December 12th). However, a simpler, and more direct, financial incentive would be to end the punitive practice of charging for admission to such centres in the first place. – Yours, etc,
