Sir, – In the Irishman’s Diary (January 2nd), you repeat an inaccuracy in the Dictionary of Irish Biography concerning Aodh de Blácam.
My grandfather Aodh de Blácam was born Harold Saunders Blackham, not Hugh Saunders Blackham, as per the Dictionary of Irish Biography. He published some of his early work in London in 1913 as Arald de Blácam before adopting the name Aodh/Hugh. – Yours, etc,
