Sir, – Paul Walsh wonders why we have two left-of-centre political parties with single-digit support and why they can’t merge to be more effective and powerful politically (Letters, March 2nd).
I wonder could we apply his logic to GAA teams, and merge all the less powerful counties such as Roscommon, Leitrim and Carlow to create one “super-team” that would challenge the likes of Dublin, Galway and Cork? – Yours, etc,
