Sir, – We are the third class of St Brigid’s School in the Coombe. We read Patrick Freyne’s article “‘Like a liquidised My Little Pony’: Prime Hydration is €12.99 a bottle. Our wine critic joins a tasting” (February 16th).
Some of us think that the price is too much because you can just buy dilute instead. There is nothing that special about the taste. If the taste was nicer or the drink was cheaper, we might buy it. For some, Prime is worth the price. One girl thinks it tasted “nice and tropical”.
Thank Patrick for thinking of children when he wrote the review. We have some ideas about what you should write about to get kids reading the paper. Games like Roblox and consoles like XBox and PlayStation 5. We would also like to see some fun activities like word searches, mazes and mini-crosswords. We like reading comics too.
We have included some realistic pictures of Prime that we drew (see top photo). They are so realistic we could probably sell them but we’ll give them to you for free. – Yours, etc,
An Irish businessman in Singapore: ‘You’ll get a year in jail if you are in a drunken brawl, so people don’t step out of line’
Protestants in Ireland: ‘We’ve gone after the young generations. We’ve listened and changed how we do things’
