Sir, – Why has the word “very” almost vanished from everyday use? It appears to have been replaced by the word “really”, most especially on TV fashion items.
It is quite irritating to be bombarded with “It’s really gorgeous” or “It’s really comfortable” and, worst of all, “It’s really, really nice.” – Yours, etc,
