Sir, – Humza Yousaf has been elected the new leader of the Scottish National Party, and has pledged to pursue independence for Scotland which, like Brexit, is total pie in the sky. He should concentrate his efforts on improving the Scottish health and education systems.
In all this promotion of independence, no mention has ever been made about the issues which would have to be dealt with. For example, would Scotland seek to join the EU, what sort of border would there be with England, what currency would Scotland use, would Scotland have to set up its own defence force?
The list is endless, and certainly cannot be addressed by waving the saltire flag! – Yours, etc,
