Sir, – Kathy Sheridan devotes her latest column to the departure of Tucker Carlson from Fox News (Opinion & Analysis, April 26th).
By my count, this is the 45th article which your newspaper has carried in relation to Fox News in 2023 alone, including detailed coverage of its recent defence of defamation litigation, the settlement of which was the subject of your Editorial on April 20th.
Why does your newspaper, and the Irish media generally, devote so much coverage to a network which virtually no Irish people have access to?
Fox News is not carried by Sky or Virgin Media’s television subscriptions, and so I doubt that more than a fraction of 1 per cent of Irish people could pick Tucker Carlson out of a line-up.
