Sir, – Gerry Thornley starts his report from Paris by saying there’s never been anything like it, except maybe Italia ‘90 (“Ireland’s best yet to come, says Farrell, ahead of vengeful All Blacks showdown”, Sport, October 9th). That might be what’s happening over there but I’ve seen very few signs of support for this team here on the home turf.
As an earlier rugby player almost said, “Where’s your flagging pride?” Let’s back them with displays of colour, bunting, and flags! – Yours, etc,
