A chara, – When enjoying your excellent supplement Sustainable Ireland (October 26th), I recalled an EU seminar for senior environmental officials that I attended in Brussels in the 1990s. The commission was very anxious that member countries would promote and develop sustainability.
I was glad to read in your report that there is now some prospect of tangible progress, internationally, at the UN climate negotiations this year. – Yours, etc,
