Sir, – Another boost for our capital city, announced by Minister of State for Transport Jack Chambers, in the form of a European Transport Summit to be held at the RDS in April (News, January 9th).
Hopefully, we can learn a lot from our European neighbours who will arrive into one of Europe’s only capitals not served by metro. Furthermore, the RDS “Plan Your Visit” section of their website has no provision for how to cycle to the venue, nor is there any mention of bike parking facilities at the RDS.
There is mention, however, of Dawson Street Luas being a 30-minute walk to the venue.
