Sir, – Surgeons operating by candlelight, amputations without anaesthetic, hospitals being stormed by soldiers, healthcare workers being arrested and ambulance access routes blocked.
The medical community in Ireland and around the world can no longer stand idly by and watch this.
Israel’s doctors and scientists have done a vast amount to advance the very best of modern medicine; its politicians and leaders must now be called to account by the international community for their crimes against patients in Gaza. – Yours, etc,
