Sir, – On a visit to London recently, I attended an excellent concert by the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre.
When I went to pay for a pre-concert sandwich and drink (no cash payments accepted), I realised I had inadvertently left my credit card at my hotel. A fellow concert-goer very quickly paid using his card and went off before I had the opportunity to reimburse him or even thank him.
