Sir, – I was unaware that one of the requirements for candidates in the European and local elections seems be to have dental work to the highest standard.

Whether walking or driving, the strobe effect of the gleaming dentures on virtually all posters impels me to put on my sunglasses immediately. It must be party time for the dental profession. – Yours, etc,
