Sir, – Suzanne Brennan enquires when we will see a Taylor Swift or Shania Twain Plaza given their Irish heritage (“Taylor Swift and Shania Twain are part-Irish. When are they getting their own plazas?”, Life, June 27th).
As Shania’s grandmother, Eileen Pearce, was born in Newbridge, Co Kildare, Iarnród Éireann might consider naming the railway station in the town after the country star.
The Twain Station has a nice ring to it. – Yours, etc,
