Sir, – Bob Twigg (Letters, June 27th) takes RTÉ to task for broadcasting a repeat of a Christmas edition of Ear to the Ground “on the last Tuesday of June”.

However, he neglects to mention the fact that, rather appropriately, the programme was followed by a documentary about the life and times of Vincent van Gogh. – Yours, etc,
