Sir, – The OPW objects to the proposed metro station being situated under St Stephen’s Green, and rightly so (News, October 28th).
There are also mutterings from developers who wish to replace the shopping centre across the road, which is also being objected to. Perhaps the lesser of two evils would be to locate the station under the rebuilt centre?
After all, it probably won’t happen until the current building is well past its sell-by date. – Yours, etc,
