Sir, – As a lifelong reader of Ulysses, I concur with Mike Moran that it is well worth the effort to read Ulysses for its multiplicity of characters – spoofers and others (“Reading Ulysses may help one qualify as a ‘spoofer’,” Letters, March 21st).
However, I still have to laugh at Ross O’Carroll-Kelly’s definition of Bloomsday as “Halloween for w***ers“. – Yours etc.
