Is it unreasonable to expect a milk jug to deliver its contents to the intended destination?

Sir, – Can someone please explain why the humble milk jug has forgotten its life purpose?

Mine pours with uncanny accuracy everywhere except into the cup. The tea receives a token splash, while the table, saucer and my Irish Times enjoy the lion’s share.

Surely it’s not unreasonable to expect a milk jug to deliver milk to its intended destination? – Yours, etc,
