Sir, – I cannot think of less covert modus operandi: steal a gigantic and extremely loud machine, drive it down a quiet country road in the middle of the night with little or no other traffic, proceed to half-demolish a building, and drive away again down said quiet road with a huge ATM-like box sticking out of the roof of your van. All while being captured on CCTV and repeating the trick several times within a pretty small geographic area. Hardly a case for Columbo, is it? – Yours, etc,
