Sir, – Towns across the nation have reasonable public transport connectivity with the rest of the country. But waiting and boarding a bus can be difficult when there are no stations, bus shelters or even seats at many town centre stops.
Prospective passengers can be seen sheltering in shop doorways or under trees in many towns and villages.
Surely local councils in medium-size towns like Gorey in Wexford could, as most European towns do, supply a well-run supervised bus station to aid connectivity. – Yours, etc,
JOE RYAN,
