Sir, – Would the recording of 1.4 million false breath tests by An Garda Síochána be an indication of systemic failure? When this occurred in the banking sector, the Government took over the running of the dysfunctional banks. Is it time the Government put the order back into law and order? – Yours, etc,

Sir, – The results of the breath-test inquiry now reveal the Garda Síochána to be 1.45 million over the limit. The Minister for Transport Shane Ross maintains that any one found to be even marginally over the limit should be automatically suspended, so what are we waiting for? – Yours, etc,
