Sir, – I am unclear as to why you would bombard us with further scaremongering views on Brexit, this time from a former European Commission official, John Temple Lang ("Brexit – Unavoidable consequences and uncertainties for Ireland", May 6th), when you could just as easily engage in an honest discussion of how the best option for Ireland after a Brexit vote to leave the EU would in fact be for Ireland to leave too. – Yours, etc,
