A chara, – An Post’s Christmas stamps for use in Ireland bear the mottos “Sending Hugs”, “Ho ho Ho”, “Naughty or Nice”, “Peace & Joy” while those for overseas postage, as well as “Love”, show “Nollaig Shona”.
Could this be an indication that An Post understands the value our diaspora places on Irish, or simply that if we wish to use stamps bearing greetings in Irish within Ireland it will be necessary to pay international rates?
