DUBLIN'S FAIR CITY

Sir, I wrote to you in July 1982 when I was almost brought to tears at the untidy state of Dublin

Sir, I wrote to you in July 1982 when I was almost brought to tears at the untidy state of Dublin. Fifteen years later I am here again as a speaker at the World Congress of The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), and in my capacity as a member of the judging panel for the International Prix d'Excellence Awards.

Oh, what a wonderful change to see Dublin today! The streets are being swept, the parks are immaculate, old buildings are being refurbished and there is an obvious sense of pride which didn't exist during my last visit.

We visitors who value our ties with Ireland and enjoy the wonderful music and dancing ambassadors you are sending abroad can now feel more comfortable that you people at home are caring for your beautiful city of Dublin. - Yours, etc.,
