Elderly patients and long journeys

Sir, – The article about elderly Donegal patients having to travel to Dublin for outpatient appointments ("Elderly Donegal patients forced to travel to Dublin for treatment", January 7th) was interesting in that, with a little planning, these patients could he looked after across the Border in Derry hospitals.

It would be a great opportunity for north-south co-operation, as well as clearly being better for patients. – Yours, etc,
