Sir, – Christopher McMahon (September 10th) surely misses the point as he endeavours to make sense of Labour's pondering of a pact with Fine Gael.
If he looks at those within the party who are proffering this arrangement, he will notice that they, and not the party, can be the only beneficiaries as they sit in constituencies with a large Fine Gael base. – Yours, etc,
