Madam, - Having worked in the Thomas Street area, I am sad about the closure of Frawley's (The Irish Times, March 16th). Frawley's was a haunt of mine every Thursday. It had everything from curtains to tracksuit bottoms, from kitchen ware to summer fashion.
I would like to thank the staff for their kindness and courtesy over the years - not just to me but also to some long-stay patients from homes or hospitals who would be brought in by their carers for a new Christmas outfit. These gentleman were always welcomed and treated with the utmost respect by the staff. These were moving moments that leave a fond memory. - Yours, etc,
STEPHANIE SADLIER, Delaford Drive, Dublin 16.
