Madam, – When it is reported on the same day that Fianna Fáil TD Beverley Flynn is clinging on to an Independent TD’s €40,000 parliamentary allowance and that a senior civil servant is offering to take a pay cut of €10,000 in the national interest, it is clear where Minister Brian Lenihan needs to look for evidence of the practical patriotism he preaches.
